Welcome to the Coronach District Museum, where we celebrate the history and heritage of our community.  Located in the heart of Coronach, Saskatchewan, our museum is dedicated to preserving the stories and artifacts that tell the tale of our town's past.

 

From the early days of settlement and agriculture to the rise of the coal mining industry, our exhibits showcase the diverse and fascinating history of the Coronach District. Our collection includes a wide variety of items, from vintage photographs and documents to antique farm equipment and mining tools.

Coal Mining Central to History of Coronach

Coronach, Saskatchewan has a rich coal mining history. The first mine opened in 1902 and the industry rapidly grew, making Coronach a major hub for coal production by the 1920s.
